French Nouvelle Vague
French nouvelle vague are films comprised of long cuts, created jump cuts and served as an innovative contrast to hollywood movies throughout the 60's. They created a style of film both unique and timeless, and the films linger today as one of the great styles of film. The contemporary miss en scene and auteur films, are films to be celebrated and credited with paving the way for create film to grow. I plan to recreate an original film heavily inspired by French New Wave. My film will encompass all of the trademarks (jump cute, long cuts, miss en scene, auteur, improve dialogue and an anti-authorative character) out lining the story of someone who is lost, so they just keep running.

Avant Garde Films
After the past few classes, I have grown new appreciation of experimental and avant garde films. Before, my outlook consisted of confusion and ignorance to the depth it holds, and the creative mind it requires to create. The visual stimuli and use of symbolism creates a visual experience that is eye opening and is is a ra translation through art. The thing I appreciate most is the thought and the kind of mind, that created these films out of nothing. They are able to create art without conforming to a plot or following a previously drawn trend. These artist break the boundaries of visual experiences and create art.
